ANNOUNCING MY SIXTH BOOK!

THE DONNELLY CURSE

Do you believe in ghosts?

While I have never met one face-to-face, I like to think I keep an open mind about the supernatural. Are ghosts real? Can a curse defy time and space and terrorize its victims for over a century? Can a deadly hex ever be broken?

In THE DONNELLY CURSE, I attempt to answer these questions as I explore the horrifying consequences of one of Canada’s most notorious mass murders. While I can’t claim that my story is even remotely historically accurate, I think it’s a ripping good tale that will keep you up at night wondering what the shadows in the corners of the room hide.

I’ve had a fifty-year fascination with the Donnelly massacre and its aftermath. Several years back, I was invited to contribute a foreword to the new edition of Thomas P. Kelley’s classic VENGEANCE OF THE BLACK DONNELLYS.

Researching for the foreword rekindled my interest in the case, which, in my humble opinion, never saw the justice it deserved. Starting from that premise, I imagined what would happen if the members of the mob who murdered five members of the Donnelly family on a frigid night in February 1880 were cursed by Johannah Donnelly as she died.

But is this curse real and did it affect the killers and their descendants? Well, while the book is a work of fiction, I like to think that perhaps there is a grain of truth in there somewhere.

THE DONNELLY CURSE is now available in both print and eBook versions from all the usual suspects.
